Andrew Weir of Anthony Gold
Team London Bridge has been very fortunate to have had strong support from Anthony Gold Solicitors
since the BID was created in 2006. Previously based in New London Bridge House, on the site of what is now the News Building, staff at Anthony Gold have watched the area develop around them with the business now located in The Counting House on Tooley Street, overlooking the new entrance to London Bridge station.
The firm has played an active role in how the area has changed and have been represented on the Team London Bridge Board for the past 11 years by Howard Lerman. Having dedicated many hours and contributed to the successes of TLB, Howard steps down this autumn to be replaced by Andrew Weir. We wholeheartedly thanks Howard for all of his endeavours and hope that he remains a friend of the area for many years to come.
Andrew Weir is a Partner at Anthony Gold and has worked in SE1 for more than 15 years. Having trained with a commercial property practice on the south coast he continued to develop his property career as a partner in a specialist property practice on Bermondsey Street before joining Anthony Gold in 2015. Andrew has a particular interest in commercial leases and assisting business owners with their property requirements. He undertakes a wide range of commercial property transactions for company owners, restaurateurs, office tenants, developers, landowners and entrepreneurs across the BID area, Central London and countrywide.
Andrew joins the TLB Board from October 2017 and is looking forward to getting involved from day one. He says, ‘Team London Bridge is at the heart of the SE1 business community and has a unique position in being able to put the interests of its members first without fear from, or constraint by, political pressure or its own commercial agenda.
I am very pleased to be a part of the Board and look forward to using my commercial and legal experience gained predominantly in SE1 in supporting the important objectives encapsulated in the TLB mission and assisting with maximising the exciting opportunities presenting themselves for the further development of London Bridge businesses in the coming years.’
The eleven members of the Team London Bridge Board meet on a quarterly basis and are Chaired by Simon Howell of King’s College London
. The Board represents the business community and ensure that all BID projects and services deliver value and are in the best interest of the 300 levy-paying business members.
